The actual art style of each character and animal is very cute and loveable, making you automatically drawn into each character. The plot is very straight forward but still has some fun lessons about kindness and friendship. Owly The Way Home is a very fun, simple read for the younger readers and a great introduction to graphic novels. Owly does not talk, but rather speaks through his expressions and sometimes punctuation and little illustrated thought bubbles. This leads him on little adventures with new friends. Owly is graphic novel about a cute owl who simply wants to help others. Warnings: Mild peril, kids over the age of 10 may find this book too easy or boring.
